In his second collaboration with Éditions, Traianos Pakioufakis culminates his latest photographic works, Form Supplement. Expanding on his previous Éditions works, Flora Forms, Pakioufakis draws his focus on black and white abstract flora, often evoking beauty and dread within a singular form.
Traianos Pakioufakis’ photographic works occupy extreme territories, especially evident within his many music collaborations; the avant-garde/noise at one end (Alvin Lucier, PAN label, Max Richter, Keiji Haino) to those with a broader, popular reach (Yoko Ono, Universal Music, Harvey Sutherland). He balances either end of the spectrum with the same rigorous qualities to which his work has become known.
The release sees a very limited book release (a First Edition of 200 including 25 Special Edition blue covers) with text written by Patrick Quick. The release was launched at Kinokuniya's Wedge Gallery, Sydney, Highgate Continental, Perth and a book signing at Volume Art Book Fair, 2017 at Artspace, Sydney.
